Dinner's ready. The car's leaving in five minutes. The store closes in 15 minutes. Time to wake up. Until now, getting that message across a home or a business meant shouting, hunting people down room by room, or relying on a separate paging system.
Our most recent firmware update (6.2.0) brings two new features to every Juke system that simplify this process: PA System Announcements and Low-Latency Mode for Inputs . One lets your system speak for you. The other makes sure what you hear keeps up with what you see. Both are built to make whole-home audio fit even more naturally into how you live and work.
PA System Announcements: speak once, be heard everywhere Your phone is now a microphone that can be broadcasted to any of your connected speakers. The new PA System input lets you make live announcements from your phone and play them in any zone, or send pre-recorded messages to any area as well.
Pick one room or every room, open your mouth, and you're heard. There's nothing extra to buy or install. It works with all Juke amplifier models.
A few ways to put it to work:
Around the house: call the family to dinner, give the five-minute warning before school, or bring the kids in from the backyard. When entertaining: raise a toast or let guests know the food is out, without hunting for a quiet moment. PA announcements also support Low-Latency Mode, so you can speak through the speakers in the same room you're standing in with no echo or feedback. That makes it ideal for a toast, a speech or even performance. At the office or shop: page a single room or reach the whole space at once. Staff can announce a sale or closing time to customers on the floor, or call a coworker to the front desk or back office, all without leaving their post. For the messages you send again and again, save them ahead of time and play them with one tap. "Lights out in 10 minutes," "Happy hour starts now" or "Your table is ready" are ready whenever you need them, with no need to repeat them again.
To get started, ensure you are on the latest firmware, navigate to settings, and enable the PA functionality on your unit. For detailed instructions on using the PA, please reference the tutorial video below:

Low-Latency Mode: sound that keeps up with the picture Every input on your Juke system can now be set to one of two playback modes, so you choose what matters most for each source.
Synchronized – best for music across multiple rooms; every zone plays in perfect step.Low-Latency – best for TV, gaming and other live audio; sound keeps pace with what's on screen.Synchronized playback is what makes music flow seamlessly from room to room. But when you're watching TV, a tiny delay can put voices out of step with lips. Low-Latency Mode fixes that, so dialogue lands when it should and every play of the big game hits on time.
It's just as useful for live sources like microphones and instruments, where you need to hear the sound right as it happens. It also aligns the output of third party devices connected to the Juke that also play their own sound like surround sound receivers or self powered speakers.
The result: one system that handles whole-home music and home theater equally well. To switch modes, open the input's settings in the Juke app and you'll now see the ability to enable low latency on any wired input (USB, RCA, Optical) or Bluetooth as well.
Get it today PA System Announcements and Low-Latency Mode are available now as a free update. Make sure your Juke app and system are up to date, and both features will be ready to use.
Both features grew out of feedback from people who use Juke every day, and there's more to come. Update your system, make your first announcement, and let us know how you're putting it to work.
